Reclining -Whether you like to sit up to read a book or lie down while relaxing in the sun, reclining chairs offer the comfort and support you need to do both!
Folding -Folding loungers come in a variety of designs and can be adjustable. Due to their folding feature, they don’t take up much storage space, making them easy to store and maintain when not in use.
Day beds -Day beds are a comfortable addition to your garden. They come in a variety of styles and designs, which look great. They offer plenty of space to relax, but your garden will need to be big enough to accommodate them.
Weight – Rattan and plastic are lightweight so the bed will be easier to move around, which is great for staying in the sun or socialising with friends.
Comfort - Padding is offered for extra comfort, while wood is sturdier which is better for windier and harsher weather conditions.
Extras – Some metal beds come with tables and built-in pillows. This guarantees extra comfort, but the built-in cushions can be difficult to clean.
How to maintain different types of outdoor furniture
Wood - Protective treatment should be applied to wooden garden furniture each year, as this will help it to look great and last for longer. Additional tips for treating your wooden furniture include:
Washing it before you apply any treatment to remove any dirt or debris.
Make sure the weather isn’t too hot, cold, or wet on the day you treat your furniture, as this can affect the quality of your finish.
Metal -Metal furniture is very low maintenance and doesn’t require much attention at all. In most cases, you’ll need to clean it with a non-abrasive cloth and hot soapy water whenever it looks like it needs a refresh. You can also use pressure washers, but you should avoid using this on fragile surfaces, like glass tables.
Plastic -Similarly to metal, plastic furniture doesn’t require much maintenance. To keep it looking its best, wash it with warm soapy water. This is especially important for lighter-coloured furniture which is more likely to show up dirt over time.
Rattan – Synthetic rattan is weather and UV resistant, so you won’t have to do much to keep it in good condition. Just like metal and plastic furniture, washing it down with hot soapy water will keep it clean. If the frame underneath is made from steel, you can follow the same instructions as caring for metal furniture.
